Local Meetups

Connect with local bitcoiners around you

"What are Local Meetups?"

Local, in-person Bitcoin meetups happening across India. Each meetup is led by someone in your city who cares about Bitcoin education and wants to bring people together to learn.

The sessions are beginner-friendly. You don't need to know anything about Bitcoin to walk in. Most meetups cover foundational topics, for example: how Bitcoin works, why it matters, how to hold it yourself, and how to actually use it without trusting someone else with your money. Some sessions are hands-on, where you'll build a hardware signing device or set up your own wallet with real guidance in the room.

But at all times, it's a room learning things together.

"I've never been to one. What's it actually like?"

You show up. There's usually 5-20 people. The city lead kicks things off with a session, it can sometimes be a talk, sometimes a hands-on workshop where everyone's following along on their own devices.

There's no assumed knowledge. If you don't know what a private key is, that's fine... you'll learn. If you already know the basics, you'll still find something worth your time. The sessions are designed to go from "I've heard of Bitcoin" to "I understand why this matters and how to hold it myself."

After the session, people stick around and talk. That part is honestly just as valuable. You'll meet others in your city who think about this stuff the same way you do.

"Where is this happening?"

Bitshala Local Meetups are currently active in multiple cities across India. Each city has its own rhythm, some run monthly, others are still finding their cadence. Join your city's group to stay in the loop.

"I don't see my city in the list"

You can start one and become a city lead.

We're not gatekeeping this. If you care about Bitcoin, want to bring people together in your city to learn, and are willing to show up consistently... we want to help you make it happen.

Here's what Bitshala provides to every city lead:

  • Ready-made session plans and slide decks: You don't have to create content from scratch. We've built structured material covering everything from Bitcoin basics to self-custody workshops. Pick a session and run it.
  • Funding support: We help cover costs so that meetups stay free for attendees. Venue, food, materials - you focus on the people, we'll help with the logistics.
  • Marketing support: Your meetup runs under the Bitshala name, which means you get access to our design assets, social media support, and the credibility of an established Bitcoin education initiative backing you.

You bring the city. We bring everything else.
